LESSON 3: DIGITAL CONTENT, INFORMATION, EVALUATION AND LICENSING (SECOND POST)

The objective of this activity was to practice with Creative Commons and create our own licences. We had to create two kinds of contents and share them in our blog. We had to add one image and one slide with a CC License. We also had to choose and add a licence to our blog.

The image:

As you can observe, this is an image that I took on January 2020 in the desert of Morocco. In the bottom left corner we can observe the creative common license for this image. Since it is an original picture and not from the Internet, I've decided to use the license CC BY NC ND, which means that people can share this image as long as the work is recognized given the appropriate credit, it is not used for commercial purposes and the material is not modified.

This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Recognition - Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported. To view a copy of this license, visit https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/

The presentation slide:

This is the first slide that I have created for the presentation of our didactic unit where I have used the same technique as before to insert the creative commons license in the bottom left corner of the screenshot. This slide can be used for our group work in relation with Peace Day, which is our topic. We have chosen the license CC BY NC SA, which means that people can use this picture as long as they recognize it, they don't use it for commercial purposes and they can also modify it if they use the same license, since we also want other people to use this slide.

This work is licenced under the Creative Commons Recognition - Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). To view a copy of this licence, visit: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/

Finally, what we had to do was to learn how to add a Creative Commons licence to our blog. We had to choose one CC License in https://creativecommons.org/choose/, go to the bottom of the page, copy the generated code, go to Blogger, click on “Theme”, go to “Edit HTML”, scroll down the HTML and paste the CC code before: </body> </html>.

Once the generated code was pasted and saved, the blog adquired the new CC Licence. It appears when you enter the blog, in the bottom part of the page. The Creative Commons Licence in my blog appears just like in the image uploaded below.
