In this lesson, we have learned about the different types of multimedia content. We saw the difference between digital multimedia, such as text, images, graphics, videos, animations, and sounds, among others, and interactive multimedia, which allow the interaction of user, some examples are tests and social networks. We also were informed about podcasts and an examples of podcast platforms like iVoox.
In the second part of the lesson we used MyApps WorkSpace. MyApps is a university web page where all students can access to a variety of programs, and apps. In "my R:" you can create a new folder to save your documents or tasks created with myApps.
For this lesson's activity, first, we had to download the pictures 1, 2, and 3 from Aula Virtual. Then we had to open GIMP (Spanish version) through MyApps and once we had already opened GIMP we had to Change icon colors.
For the first part of the activity we had to open image 1 in GIMP, add a title (“I love ICTs”), move the tittle we created, zoom in/out, paint, change color pencil, apply a filter, move and save or export the image. In the images uploaded below we can see my final result in GIMP before and after saving it as an image in JPG format.
For the second part of the exercise, we had to use two images (image 2 and 3) and we followed the next steps: Fist, we had to open image 2 and image 3 in GIMP. Then, we had to cut the image. For it, we had to click the free selection tool, then click on background (blue) then do the selection "select" and "invert" and finally cut. After that, we had to go to the previous image, create a new layer, paste selection, move and change the size of the new image and finally save and export the image. In the images uploaded below we can see my final result in GIMP before and after saving it as an image in JPG format.
